Kids’ Study Tour – Fire Escape Workshop & Pusat Sains Negara

30th May 2009: A trip was organised for 31 children and 9 adults to attend the Fire Escape Workshop, a campaign in conjunction with Fire Prevention Council of Malaysia, FIPCOM (NGO of fire preventions councils) and also with BOMBA, in 1 Utama Kuala Lumpur. FIPCOM’s awareness and education programmes mainly focused on children in order to inculcate a fire safety culture in them from a young age through more fun and interactive way. The delegation was led by RT AJK member Azman Omar assisted by other RT AJK members.

They arrived in 1 Utama at 9.30 am and participated in the opening ceremony and followed by workshop. After a great lunch in MacDonald’s, the delegation went to the Pusat Sains Negara (National Science Centre) in Mont Kiara where they had a very informative programme arranged for them. They returned to Emerald Park at 6pm. The success of this trip can be summed in the one question the children had in their minds on their return: “Uncle, uncle.., when is the next trip?”
